I am a biologist by training and my expertise lies in the field of agroecology and the use of biodiversity in agriculture. My core concern is to make agriculture and the landscape more diverse and resilient.

I am currently working as a postdoc at the University of Bonn in the Department of Agroecology and Organic Farming (Prof. Thomas Döring).

I did my doctorate under Prof. Maria Finckh and Prof. Gunter Backes at the Department of Organic Plant Protection, Faculty of Organic Agricultural Sciences at the University of Kassel. I worked there on various approaches to agricultural diversification, in particular on heterogeneous wheat populations and mixed crops. Methodologically, this work was experimental on the one hand and social-scientific and participatory on the other. Further information on my research can be found at researchgate or google.scholar.
